MARTINBOROUGH
WEDDING DEEMING—DAVIDSON. (“Times-Age” Special.) The wedding was recently celebrated at St. Aidan’s Church, Remuera, Auckland, of Rita Jessie, daughter of Mrs C. Davidson, Moreton Road, Carterton, and the late Mr James Davidson, Martinborough, to Gunner Gilbert John Deeming, 2nd N.Z.E.F., eldest son of Sergeant and Mrs J. C. Deem- ■ jng, “Wairoro,” Opua, Bay of Islands. The Rev. R. L. Connolly officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her brother-in-law, Sergeant Majoi' K. B. Hannay, was attired in a blue and white ensemble with matching shoes and a halo hat. She carried a beautiful bouquet of water lilies. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss L. Davidson, who wore dusky pink, and carried a bouquet of pink stocks and roses, and Miss A. Deeming, sister of the bridegroom, who was dressed in lime green. Her bouquet was of gold roses and lupins. Gunnel’ Eric Gerrard attended as best man. 'v In the absence of the bride’s mother the guests were afterwards received by Mrs K. B. Hannay at whose residence in Remuera the reception was held.
