ALFREDTON

YOUNG FARMERS DANCE ON NEW YEAR’S EVE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The members of the Young Farmers’ Club held an enjoyable dance to welcome in the New Year. The hall was beautifully decoraoted with streamers and coloured sketches were pasted around the walls. The music was supplied by Mr W. Marsden with recordings and a loud speaker, assisted by Miss Betty Edmonds at the piano. Mr Oldsworth thanked all present for attending and making the evening an enjoyable one. Special thanks were expressed to Mrs George, who was in charge of the supper arrangements. Personal. Messrs H. Burch and J. and C. Hartley, have returned home after visiting Wellington. Mrs Smith and Mrs McKay and nephews are visiting Castlepoint. Mrs McKay and her nephews made the journey on horseback. Mr and Mrs R. McKay leave this week for their new home at Longbush.
