MURDER CHARGE
AGAINST LONDON GUNMAN. REMANDED FOR MEDICAL EXAMINATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, November 12. Philip Joseph Ward, aged 31, a gunner in the Royal Artillery, was charged at the Acton Police Court with the murder of Leslie Francis Ludford, solicitor, who was fatally wounded in the street by a gunman. Ward was remanded for medical examination. It was reported on Wednesday that a man and a woman were killed and two other men and five women wounded when a gunman fired at random from a car in the Chiswick, Acton and Perivale districts of London. A second woman victim has since died.
