NORWEGIAN TANKER
TORPEDOED BY TWO SUBMARINES. ACCORDING TO ITALIAN REPORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright' (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) ROME, August 12. Two submarines simultaneously torpedoed the Norwegian tanker Knudsen, off the Canary Islands. The Knudsen was laden with petroleum and sank in a few minutes. A Portuguese trawler picked up fourteen members of the crew.
