RESUMPTION OF HOSTILITIES REGRETTED. MR CORDELL HULL’S COMMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 12. The Secretary of State (Mr Cordell Hull) said it was a matter of regret that Peru and Ecuador had resumed hostilities in their long-standing border dispute. Both had agreed to mediation by Argentina. Brazil and the United States.
