SWITCH TO EAST

LUFTWAFFE OUTCLASSED IN FRANCE EVEN BOMBERS ATTACKING ENEMY FIGHTERS. DAMAGE TO THE GERMAN WAR MACHINE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. June 25. The “Daily Telegraph’s” aeronautical correspondent says that the switching of the best of the Luftwaffe’s pilots and planes from the western to the eastern front for the invasion of Russia is presumed to be the reason for the dwindling raids over Britain and the resistless ease with which the R.A.F. is penetrating France. It may be that the German pilots remaining on the western front, are comparatively untrained. They are no match for our pilots. Even bombers are taking the offensive against the enemy fighters. The Germans are again reversing the air loss ratios for propaganda purposes. Meanwhile the R.A.F. is expected to increase its offensive, relieving the pressure against the Russian air force. The R.A.F. also now has the chance to do greater damage to the German war machine, which is sheltered by relatively light defences.
