LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST FAIR TO FINE. MORE SETTLED OUTLOOK. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— FORECAST: Moderate southwesterly to westerly winds. Weather becoming fair to fine. Frosts again tonight but day temperatures slowly moderating. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fine with freshening north-westerly winds. LOCAL REPORTS. Masterton: Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today: Barograph 30.14; shade temperature, maximum 40.7, minimum 34.1, terrestrial 31.1; sunshine 3 hours 35 minutes; rain 43 points. Solway: Mr H. M. Bocldington reports 43 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24. hours ended 9 a.m. today.
