FURTHER COLLECTION NEEDED.
INSISTENT DEMAND CONTINUES
Present war conditions call for a renewal of the drive for the collection of essential scrap metals. It is bclievi cd that there is still a large quantity j available from old accumulations not ; yet donated, as well as accretions since i earlier collections were made and the ' National Council for the Reclamation of Waste Material urges all concerned to endeavour to have these gathered in. The demand for metals is still as insistent as wnen the campaign was first launched and there is a ready market for all that can be collected. In addition to the appeal for brass’, copper, aluminium, lead, tin and zinc, in the commonly known forms, special attention should be given to such items as cullapsiule tubes used as containers for shaving creams, tooth paste, etc., brass keys and brass lops of electric light globes. Residents of Masterton who have any waste material of the kinds mentioned are urged to make ft point of donating st '.’i the country’s war effort.
