GLADSTONE

SOCIAL AND DANCE SOLDIERS ENTERTAINED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Gladstone Hall was crowded last night when three local members of the Second Echelon were entertained at a social and dance. Mr J. K. Strang who presided, presented the guests of the evening. Corporal T. Vallis and Privates J. T. Cooper and T. Kani with a rolls razor each. Mr R. Whyborn, president ■ of the Wairarapa R.S.A.. also had a few words to say on behalf of ex-service-men of the district. Each recipient acknowledged the good wishes of district residents and expressed thank’s for the .gift. The ladies of the district supplied supper, which was much appreciated.
