Half Century Mark Reached. An important landmark in the history of till? Matsen Line's service from San Francisco to New Zealand and Australia was the arrival at Auckland recently of the- company’s 23,000-ton Monterey on her fiftieth round voyage in the trade. On her return to San Francisco the Monterey will have covered 750.000 miles on the long Pacific run. The Monterey, which has for a number of years been under the command of Captain E. 11. Johanson. first visited Auckland in .June. 1932. The
sister ship. Mariposa, which first called there in March. 1932, called at Auckland on her fiftieth round voyage last December.
