THROWN FROM LORRY

COUNTY WORKER INJURED. Abrasions to the back and an arm were suffered by Edwin Brown, of 39 Worksop Road, Masterton, when he was thrown from a lorry in Masterton yesterday morning. After receiving medical treatment. Mr Brown was able to proceed to his home. Together with several other Masterton County employees, Mr Brown was travelling on the tray of a lorry on his way to work. When the lorry, which was driven by Mr John. Brodie, was proceeding along Te Ore Ore Road, it swerved somewhat sharply to avoid a car, driven by Mr Neil Edward Curidy, a farm hand, of Glendonald Station, which came out from Totara Street just ahead of the Horry. When the lorry swerved Mr Brown was precipitated on to the roadway. The accident occurred at about 7.30 a.m.
