OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
WAR SERVICE (To the Editor.) Sir.—l was amazed to read the resolution passed by the Methodist Bible Class movement at its annual convention. 1 think. Sir, that utterances such as those call for action by the authorities. I know what would happen to them if I had my way, every last one of them would be placed in a concentration camp. They are supposed to be students of the Bible, but in my opinion they know very little about the subject. Does not Christ exhort his followers to defend and help his weaker brothers, and is that not exactly what the British and French empires are doing? There must be a large number ol Methodists who are holding their heads down in shame. lam only waiting for the age limit to be raised so that I can get into it again, but it won't be to protect those weak-kneed, spineless members of the Methodist Y.M.8.C.M.. Thank heaven our country and Empire are not depending on this type of creature to see us through —I am. etc.. A 1914-18 DIGGER. Masterton. January 4.
