REDS & NAZIS

ACTIVITIES IN UNITED STATES DENOUNCED BY DIES COMMITTEE. EVIDENCE OF FOREIGN CONSPIRACY. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.35 a.m.) WASHINGTON, January 3. The Dies Committee, reporting to Congress said: “A careful examination of the facts justifies the assertion that the Communist Party of the United States is a foreign conspiracy, masked as a political party. The German-American Bund receives its inspiration and programme direction from the Nazi Government. The Bund is similar to Nazi groups built up in Austria and Czechoslovakia prior to their annexation.” The report alleged that the American League for Peace and Democracy was subservient to the Communist Paity. Ten or twelve of the Committee for Industrial Organisation’s total of fortyeight unions were “more than tinged with Communism.”
