ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS LOYAL HEART OF OAK LODGE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Heart of Oak Odd Fellows’ lodge was held last evening, N.G. Bro C. E. White presiding. Sick pay amounting to £ll 3s 4d was passed for payment. Reports were made regarding the progress of sick members who in most instances were reported to be on the way to recovery. A report on the deliberations of members of the Wellington District Hospitals was made, and at the meeting which was attended by some 80 members it was decided “That the Association be continued and that a cash benefit be paid to members of 6s per day and 3s for children when the member or his dependants as defined by the rules are in hospital (public or private).” Owing to the restriction placed upon benzine it was decided that it was not possible to be present at the meeting of Loyal Tararua P.G. Lodge to be held at Eketahuna on Wednesday night. ■. School Re-assembles. After the mid-winter vacation the State school pupils re-assembled yesterrday. There, was a very good attep ■ dance at Carterton and the average was well maintained. LADIES’ GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES. The following are the wins in the first round of the championships:— Seniors.—Miss Welch won from Mrs Candy. Juniors.—Miss Campbell won from Mrs R. N. Campbell; Miss P. Renall won from Mrs Moroney; Mrs Forbes won from Mrs Harrington; Mrs Ross won from Mrs Colson; Miss Smart won from Miss Booth; Mrs Murray won from Mrs M. Campbell; Miss N. Renall won from Miss Lamb. DAIRY FACTORIES , <, INCREASE IN MILK SUPPLY. ' The milk supply at the various cheese factories in and around the Carterton district ’continues to increase and the number of gallons received is well up to previous years. The- fact that very few heavy frosts have so Lar been experienced has made it possible for the grass to come away fairly well which has helped the milk yield. BABY CARNIVAL CARD TOURNEY AND DANCE. There was a very good attendance at the Clareville Hall last evening when a card tourney and dance was held to further the candidature of the Tara-tahi-Belvedere baby, John Corbett, in the carnival to raise funds towards the W.D.F.U. Rest Room. The card tourney prizes were won as follow:—Ladies: Mrs. L. Humphries 1, Mrs. V. Daysh 2; men: Mr. A. Stretton 1, Mr. Humphries 2. The consolation prizes went to Mi's. E. W. Allen and Mrs. Hannah. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss James and partner. Supper was provided by the committee of the W.D.F.U. The hall was then cleared for dancing and a most enjoyable time was spent.
