BRITISH RECONNAISSANCE FLIGHTS OVER GERMANY Six Million Leaflets Dropped SOME REPORTS OF AIR BATTLE HOLLAND ALLEGES INFRINGEMENT OF NEUTRALITY (By Telegraph.—Press Association—Copyright.) NEW YORK, September 3. The Amsterdam correspondent of the United Press of: America states that numerous aeroplanes of unidentified nationality and believed to comprise a tremendous air fleet, skirted Holland shortly after midnight toward Germany in the direction of Bremen, Berlin and the naval base at Wilhelmshaven. The Copenhagen correspondent of the “New York Times” states that an unidentified Netherland wireless is reporting that an air battle is proceeding over Friesland and the Netherlands. The Netherlands issued a communique stressing the seriousness of the violation of her neutrality. The Government is requesting both parties to investigate whether their forces are responsible and to take measures to prevent the repetition of such flights.
