OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS

A TIME FOR PRAYER (To the Editor.) Sir,-—Now that war has. unfortunately come to us again, with its devastations and atrocities, I think it is time we not only prayed for our King, with all due respect, but more so for the mothers who are about to lose their beloved sons, who, through no fault of their own, are taken, to the sweethearts who are to lose their loved ones, and the sisters who are to lose their brothers. Every mother who has sons eligible to go would feel -very sad to hear Mr. Chamberlain’s vital announcement last night. Let us all unite in a fervent prayer for these people and trust in God’s justice and mercy that it will be a very short but successful conflict for our allied nations. —I am ,etc.. MOTHER. Masterton, September 4.
