(BY “CARBINE.”) V7hen he won the Winter Cup at Riccarton yesterday for the third successive time, Catalogue created a record that should stand unbroken for many years to come. In the interval since the last winter he won the Melbourne Cup. but also met with severe injury due to a fallen power line. Catalogue has proved beyond ail doubt that he is one of the best milers seen at Riccarton. Considerable amusement was created in the Enfield Steeplechase in which IHanover emerged the winner, followed 4J minutes away by Glenvane, with Culverden another three minutes behind, third. Hanover was the only horse who did not meet with a mishap.
