CARD EVENING

LANSDOWNE HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION. The first of a series of “500” card parties was held at the Lansdowne School on Saturday night. There were twelve tables in use and an enjoyable evening was spent by all. The gathering was arranged by the Lansdowne Home and School Association.

The president, Mr. F. J. Bettleheim, expressed pleasure in seeing so many enthusiasts present, considering the cold night. He trusted that a successful evening would result.

The prize winners were: Mrs. Snowsill, Senr., Mrs. Ackerman, Mrs. Biggs, and Mr A. V. Faulknor.

An excellent supper was provided, the arrangements for which were ably carried out by Mesdames Dagg, McGregor and Donovan. : The next evening will be held on Saturday, June 10.
