Lord Nuffield has sent a letter to the War Minister, Mr Hore-Belisha, placing in the hands of trustees 1,000,000 shares in Morris Motors worth £1,500,000, the income of which—£los.ooo a year—is to be devoted to recreation and enjoyment facilities for militia, territorials and other forces. Mr Hore-Belisha. acknowledging the gift, expressed enduring gratitude on behalf of the forces.
