PLANS FOR THE CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 10. Contributions exceeding £BOOO have already been agreed to by local bodies and other organisations interested in the Canterbury section of the Centennial Exhibition. The total allocation for Canterbury is £lO,OOO, and the response so far is considered most satisfactory. “Plans for the court are now going forward more quickly,” said the secretary of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce. Mr J. Roy Smith, on behalf of the Canterbury court committee. “Contributions made are regarded as an excellent response to the appeal. There has also been an excellent response to an appeal for photographs for use in the court to display various activities and interests to the province.”
