EASTER HOLIDAYS
SHOPPING HOURS IN MASTERTON. Housewives will be required to lay in ample stores on Thursday to tide them over the Easter holidays, as the shops will close at 9 p.m. on Thursday until 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday. Fresh bread will be available, however, on Saturday. POST OFFICE HOURS. The following hours will be observed at the Masterton Post Office during the Easter holidays:— Good Friday: The Post Office will be closed in all branches. No mails will be despatched and postmen’s deliveries will be suspended. Te Wharau private bags and the Westmere rural delivery service will be performed on Thursday and Tinui and Homewood private bag services will be despatched on Saturday. The Telegraph office will be closed, but the Telephone Exchange will be open continuously. On Easter Saturday the Post Office will be open in all branches. One complete delivery of letters by postmen will be made. The Telephone Exchange will be open continuously. On Easter Monday, the Post Office will be closed in all branches. Mails will be closed at 6.30 a.m. Postmen’s deliveries will be suspended. Te Wharau. Homewood and Tinui private bag services will be despatched on Tuesday, but the Stronvar private bag service will be despatched as usual. The Telegraph Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7to 8 p.m. The Telephone Exchange will be open continuously. A counter delivery of all correspondence (including registered) will be made between 7 and 8 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday.
