Montreal.—lndicating the importance of the harbour of Montreal as a world port, arrivals of ocean-going vessels this year from April 15 to October 26, numbered 969 as compared with 944 vessels of a similar class in the corresponding period last year. Including coastal steamers 4,446 vessels cleared 1 from the port this season as compared with 4,257 Last season.
