BIDEFORD SPORTS CLUB

DATE OF MEETING FIXED. (“Times-Age” Special.) A general meeting of the Bideford Sports Club was held on Thursday to consider the position created by the date on which the club usually holds its sports meeting, being this year taken up by the Gladstone Club. After the report of the club’s delegates to the Wairarapa Horse Sports Federation had been heard it was unanimously decided that the club hold its annual sports meeting on Saturday, January 21. The programme was rearranged and several more spectacular horse events were included. 1 At the annual meeting of the club the following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr J. W. Carswell; president, Mr F. L. Williams; vice-presidents, Mesdames E. A. Wrigley, E. N. Wrigley, Messrs E. W. Bunny, O. A. Bunny, D. J. Cameron, J. C. Cooper, J. M. James, J. R. Nicholls, J. H. Percy, S. Smith, Hearn Smith, W. Stoddart and F. Chapman; secretary and treasurer, Mr D. J. Falloon; judge, Mr R. S. Pilmer.
