K Bidwill in reply to an article entitled “ Veiled Intimidation,” which appeared iu a sheet published at Car terton ostensibly in the interest (?) 0 * Mr Bunny. In Mr Bidwill’s letter unu“" notice he once more emphatically contracul'** the Utterly unfounded statement that ho hftd attempted to iutlueuce the votes of those employed by him. We hare no hesitation in asserting that every decent person in the Wairarapa where, it is superfluous to say, Mr Bidwill is thoroughly known and highly respected—will believe that gentleman’s word. The cowardly accusation again insinuated by persons beneath contempt is, still a most serious one. Mr Bunny, as a gentleman and man of honor, has therefore but one honorable course open to him, viz, to make a public apology to Mr Bidwill for his own incorrect allegation, and for the disgraceful article to which we have alluded. At the same time we think Mr Bunny will see the propriety of apologising to Mr Mallory for the unwarrantable use made of his name.
