I find that by a misprint I am made to say in the Standard ef Wednesday’s issue that Giriii to concede Ist 91bs to First Water in the New Tears' Handicap. What 1 intended to remark was that tiiriri should not give First Water even 91bs in that event; the printer in the first place made a mistake and to reconcile the same with my remarks be simply added the stone difference. I should not have considered it necessary to correct the error, but to clinch my argument. I hear that the Martinborough Meeting will be largely attended by nearly all sport loving persons at that end of the Valley, and even some from the Masterton end, who have not yet relinquished old associations. As some will likely wish to know the safest way to risk their money on the machine I will hazard a lew tips For the Hurdles I shall support Halicore, barring accidents.
