Destructive Fire at Wanganui

A fire occurred on Monday night in Victoria Avenue, Wanganui. The shops occupied by Peter Bell, draper, and George Caiman, grocer, were completely gutted. An examination of the buildings discloses the fact that the fire originated in the corner of Colmau's shop, where matches were kept. The salvage from botb stocks is considerable.
