The Poisoning of Captain Cain.
The Magisterial inquiry into the charges preferred against Thomas Hall for the murder of Captain Cain, was commenced at Timaru on Monnav. The testimony (alien deals with the motive which would have induced Hall to murder Captain C on. It appears that in May of last year Hall purchased an ounce of tartar emetic from Guuu, a local chemist, and this is thought to have an important bearing on the caae.
