Technical School Teaching
To the Editor 6' the Standard. Bui,—Haring been teacher at the Mtrkaretu School tot two yean I read with considerable interest the report of the school inspector concerning it in last Monday’s Surdabd. I have not the slightest hesitation in saying that the system of instruction pursued there is the most nsefal, considering that the people are nearly all Scandinavians, and it would be better for the rising generalion if more heed were given to technical teaching, for a lot ef the work done now in onr schools will be of no nse in after life. Knowing the Mackeretn district and the people living there I feel it a duty to bear testimony to the system of teaching carried out by the present teacher. I am, <tc., F. H. Brittain. Greytown, October 7.
