That “ misfortunes never come singly ” ig an old adage most peculiarly applicable in the case of Mr W. H. Speakman, baker, Ac , of Featheraton. About a fortnight ago his hone dropped suddenly dead while harnessed to the cart. About a week ago his little son got hia right leg smashed by the upsetting of the apting cart while being loaded with bread, and during last week his wile while attending the little sufferer had a violent fall down stairs, hurting the spine of her back.
