For tU . there was keen competition, And 3000 bales were sold. Average greasy merino sold st 2d per lb, and good scoured icalised Is 9Jd. The manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company (Limited), of New Zealand, reviewing the local market, report* a* follows Shipping wheat steady at 5a 5d to 5s fid per bushel ; malting barley quieter 8s 9d to 4a fid per bushel j New Zealand oats —leAd sorts, for which there is a moderate inquiry, 3s 3d to 3e 5d per bushel; milling descriptions, for which there ia a fair demand. 3a 6d to 3s 7d ; New Zealand oats, nnder bond, which are alow of sale, 2s 6d to 2s 8d per bnahel.
