A Terrible Storm Predicted.
We informed our readers the other day ol the prediction ol dreadful earthquakes in Sep. tember and October, by a German geologist. We now find that Professor E. B. Wiggins, the weather prophet, has predicted a terrible storm. “ September," be lays, “ will open cold and stormy, premonitory to my great storm commencing on the afternoon of September 29, and the great war of the elementi will come as sure as the san,is ii the heaven*. It will be a storm of unparalleled violence, and after sweeping across the Atlantic and traversing the country, will exhaust its energies upon the rugged front offered by the Hooky Mountains, Fishermen in the maritime provinces and in Newfoundland have not been slow to appreciate my predictions, and I have already received intelligence from many that they have made arrangements to be in port on the date ol the destructive storm."
