Mr O’Cokxou.M.H.R., wants the Government to consult M. Pasteur as to the practicability of introducing some malignant virus which would kill out the rabbits aud small birds. The suggestion is a good one.

Sir Robert Stout has put an end to all the absurd rumours as to his having changed his faith, by allowing himself to be re elected President of the Dunedin Freethought Lyceum. A letter, thanking the members fur the honour done him, was read at the annual meeting held recently, and it has since found its way into the press.
