A Featherston Street.
hi the Editor if the Standard. Sir,— ln yo u i i.-.uc of to-day a report appears of a number of ratepayers having petitioned the Highway Board to have a street opened in Featherston, which for years has been closed to the inconvenience, absolutely eh,., d (not as in many instances where a gate ha= .ban erected.) This street divides the town Trim the Highway District between Fit/heihert street and Levans sheet. It reads in your paper as a new road required. It is no new mad, but one that was laid off and mapped at the same lime all the other streets in die town were' laid elf.
N\ By the Board should show any disinclination to move in this matter is a matter greatly to be wondered at. I am, do., Justice. Featherston, August 9, 188 L.
