The monthly meeting of the Featherston Town Board was hell on Monday evening. Commissioners present—Meears Reynold* (chairman), and Donald. The minute* of the previoa* meeting were read and confirmed. The treasurer’s book showed a balance of £153 1* 6d. That Mr Parker be allowed to use the Town Board Office for the purpose ef lecturing on music. 2. That the clerk write to Masterton about procuring trees lor planting reserve. 3. That on* month's notice of dismissal be given to the ranger. 4. That the Clerk write to the County Council, requesting them to bring the Slaughter-houses Act into force within the W.W.C. notice or MOTION, By Mr Oakly, That the charges ef 2s Id for giving notice of cattle impounded be reduced to Is.
