The monthly meeting of the Featherston Town Board was hell on Monday evening. Commissioners present—Meears Reynold* (chairman), and Donald. The minute* of the previoa* meeting were read and confirmed. The treasurer’s book showed a balance of £153 1* 6d. The following account* were paaied lor payment Eli Bloxham, L 74* ; Walter Hodder, jun., Ll3 2* 6d ; John Beet, L 3 0* 5d ; John Crawford, L 8 16. ; Neil* Jorgensen, L 8 IG* ; Charles F. Woraley, LBss ; William Taylor, L 4 ll* ; Robert Barton, LI 13* 4d ; Bernard Newmarsb, 6s ; C. W. Key*, L 3 17* Bd. The Ponndkeeper’i book wa* laid on tb* table by Mr Barton. The Banger’s report wa* read, and fee* paid 3*. The Registrar of Dogs reported fees paid in 21* from last month. The Clerk paid in. rents 17* ; Bloxbam, 12*; Wilkinson, s*. OOBBESFONDBNCB. Inwards.—From Colonial Secretary'* office, acknowledging receipt of Featherston Town Board bye-laws. From Property Tax Department, enclosing Supplementary Roll from Crown Land*. From Ur J. H. Parker, asking for the use of the Town Board Office lor the purpose of giving a lecture on music. Outwards.—To Ur Fife giviu ghim notieeof termination of bis agreement as ponndkeeper. To Standard Office with oopy of adver* tisement re bye«law*. To W. Neale, with permission to cross footpath with building material. Resolved—l. That Mr Parker be allowed to use the Town Board Office for the purpose ef lecturing on music. 2. That the clerk write to Masterton about procuring trees lor planting reserve. 3. That on* month's notice of dismissal be given to the ranger. 4. That the Clerk write to the County Council, requesting them to bring the Slaughter-houses Act into force within the W.W.C. notice or MOTION, By Mr Oakly, That the charges ef 2s Id for giving notice of cattle impounded be reduced to Is.
