The Midland Railway.

Chbistchcbch, July 16. - To-day Mr 0. C. Bowen received a telegram giving definite information that the first contract for the Midland Bailway had been let. The contracture are Meshta M’Keone and Robinson. The section taken up is most probably that [from Beeftoh to Brunnerton. This is inferred from previous communications received by Mr Bowen. The exact amount of the contract is not stated.
