Where no football practice can be obtained, running and exercise with dumbells should be indulged in. On Saturday the brake will leave the Post Office Corner for Carterton at 1.30 sharp, and every man is particularly requested to be punctual. On Saturday last a team from the Wanderer’s Football Club of Greytown left to to play a match with the second fifteen of the Star Club, Masterton. Upon arrival at Masterton the Greytown lads found that the Stars had engaged to play Carterton and had neglected to send word down to Greytown in time to stop the team. The match was not therefore played. The football match at Waihenga on Saturday between the Greytown Fire Brigade and a Lower Valley team resulted iu a tie, one try each side.
