Featherston Town Board.

The monthly meeting of tbe Featherston Town Board was held on Monday evening. Present—Messrs Reynolds (chairman), (Juudy, Holder, Donald, and Oakly. Tbe minutes of the previous meeting were confirmed. The treasnrer stated the balance in bank at LlO 8s 9d. The following accounts were passed for payment John T. Hodder, 10s; John Reel, L2 Is 81 ; Git Btoxhsm, L 8 2s ; C. W. Keys (cletk, Sea.,) L2 181 5d ; Licensing Committee, L 4 5s 9d ; Adam Donald, L 3 8s ; Waibabapa Standard, L2 16s ; Waiter Hodder, jun., L2 2s 9d ; total, 1,26 4s 7d. The poundkeepet’s book was not laid on tbe table, Ibe ranger’s report was read and adopted, and fees paid 7s. Tbe inspector’s report was read. The Dog Registrar reported dog fees paid in L 4. Messrs Robins and Reynolds paid in tbe sum of 15s, being moiety of cost of culvert opposite their residences in Bell Street. The following resolutions were passed : “ That Mr John T. Hodder be referred to the Featherston Road Board for access to his property behind Town belt.” That after the 14th instant all stock be prohibited from graaing on tbe streets in the Town District, and that notice be given to tbe ranger to thia effect, and that the Board expect him to be more strict in attending to hi* dntiea.” “ That a special meeting be held on Thursday the 10th inst. at 7 p,m., to confirm byelaws." “ That a epeeial meeting be bald on Monday, 2let inst, to strike a rate of a half-penny in the £ real value, and a library rate of one penny in tbe £ annual value.” COBBKirOMDUCB.
