A telegram from I’ort Darwin, of May in Hailey's Sydney Sunday Times, says ; —“ The news received from the Northern territory about the Derby goldrush, is causiug much excitement, and a big rush is likely to set in, but yon cannot, too strongly warn men not to go unless thoroughly well provided. Mr Deelev, a well-known storekeeper, writing on bUtb April from I’ort Derby says:—"About eight men have made t heir way in from thesupjiosed goldjjelds. They re|x»rt that about tu men are up there. They have come iu to buy rations, li b rmiing to be the largest Held in Au.-tralla. In our opinion all the men wboai ei n have m ild with them, but they are Le-pner it dark and have only brought in enough for tlieuwants.
