THE QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY AND OUR VOLUNTEERS. The following arrangements are made for the 24th inst The Greytown, Mastertoo, Carterton, and Featberston Corps will assemble at Greytown some time in the forenoon, and march to the Recreation Ground, where the ostial feu de joie will be fired, after which a number of battalion movements will be gore through until lunch time. Then the annual judging distance practice will take place, and bayonet exercise, and, if time will permit, skirmishing with blank, winding up with the nsnal march past. Mr Jones, of (he Foresters' Arms, will attend to the needful on the ground, and a fine day is all that is necessary to make this gathering the best of the kind that has yet taken place in the Valley. It ia to be very much regretted that the Papa wai Native ' Rifles will not have their new uniforms in time for this turn out, as the cloth had to be made and has not arrived at the tailor’s. The District Order will [be published as soon as the time (able for the 24th is made known.
