London, April 7. At to-day’s colonial wool sales a catalogue of 10,000 bales were submitted at auction. The toce of the market was flat. April 8. At to day’s wool sales 10,400 bales were submitted for competition, uo improvement being manifested in the tone of the market. Crossbred wools showed a weaker tendency. Merinos were steady, but without active demaud. Scoured wools are lid to 2d below the last sales. Up to the present date 141.000 bales have been offered, of which 21.000 have been withdrawn from sale. Sydney, April 9. New Zealand wheat, 4s per bushel; New Zealand oats, 2s 3d ; maize, per 56lbs, 3s 4d. Melboobnk, April 8. Messrs Oolds'ocrough and Co (Limited) published their balance sheet for the past year's transactions to-day. It has shown that the company has dealt with over 100.000 bales of wool during the year. The net profits available amount to £40,000. A dividend at a rate of 10 per cent will be paid, acid a sura of £IOOO will be carried to the reserve fund, making the total amount of the company’s reserve £1 .'0 000, A further sum of £IO,OOO is carried forward to the present year’s account.
