Correspondents must, in every case, furnish tbeir names and addresses, not necessarily for publication, but as a guarantee of pood faith. All letters for insertion must be written oir owe side of the papfb owLT, and addressed, to the Editor of the Standard. We do not identify ourselves with the opinions expressed by our correspondents In order to secure insertion, Advertisements, Ac., must be sent in not later than eleven o'clock on the day of publication. Births, Marriages, and Deaths, are inserted gratis, but they must be properly authenticated. Letters on subjects of local and general interest, if fairly and temperately written, and of brief length, will, so far as space permit, find insertion in our colnmns.
