GREYTOWN—YESTERDAY,

Before the B. M. and 8. Rerans, J. P. J. Ryan was charged with drunkenness. Constable Eccleton deposed to arresting defendant at Banuneriah’s hotel last Sunday morning where he found him drank with n glass of mm before him. Joseph Jackaoo deposed to helping the constable in escorting defendant to the station, bat got rntbsr “ mixed ” in his evidence. Joseph Smith, Goo. Salisbury and John Hawke (for the defendant) deposed that they were at the hotel on Sunday awning, bat then was no drinking and Ryan was not drank. The Constable stated to the Bench that he had taken Ryan up, being drank, to slop Sunday drinking, which was becoming an annoyance to the Church-going public. The csss wm dismissed, and a charge of assault withdrawn. Samuel Jaekson was fined 5a for drunkenness.
