JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
MR BROADFOOT ON THE ALERT. MINISTERIAL CONSIDERATION PROMISED. When district organisation was revived for the establishment of a Junior High School at re Awamutu, Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P., at once advanced the district claims to the Education Department. He has also communicated with the Minister of Education setting out the negotiations which had stood deferred for several years and the general circumstances now obtaining in the area affected. In a letter to Mr Broadfoot, the Hon. Mr P. Fraser, Minister of Education, now states: "I have received ycur letter of the 13th inst. in reference to the establishment of a Junior High School or Intermediate Department in Te Awamutu. When the Auckland Education Board makes its report to the Department you can be assured that it will receive my sympathetic consideration.”
