TRAFFIC CONTROL
DISCUSSION OF PROBLEMS BY DOMINION CONFERENCE.

WELLINGTON, Wednesday,
Awide range of questions concerning traffic control is being discussed at the Domin on conference of traffic officers which opened yesterday under the auspices of the Transport Department. This is the first occasion on which the traffic officei's of both islands have met in formal conference, and the Transport Department welcomes the opportunity of hearing their views on traffic problems. Business yesterday morning was chiefly confined to discussion of proposed amendments to the traffic regulations. In the afternoon the delegates inspected the brake-testing apparatus, traffic-control measures, and other points of the system of supervision employed by the City Council.
