TE AWAMUTU CLUB
The enthusiasm displayed by the ladies last Thursday evening in the first abound of the Gene Strong Cup competition, when, every match, with the exception of one, was played, proves the ever-increased popularity of -this indoor game. The match committee very much appreciates this keenness and hopes that like enthusiasm! will be shown in all future competitions. The results are as follow: —B. Bowden beat Z. Noonan, M. Farrell beat B. Fox, L. Oruiekshank beat N. Tui*nwald, Mrs Clarke beat D. Pearte, B. Chunn beat E. Christe, E. Melville beat M. Chillingworth, F. Bowden beat B. Chillingworth. The following players have been selected to represent Te Awamutu B team against Hamilton, at Hamilton, next Tuesday evening.—-Misses B. Bowden, B. Chunn, L. Cruickshank, F. Bowden, and Messns D. Speedy, R. Goodall W. Warner, J. Craik. The next match in the C grade competition will be played against St. George’s, at Frankton, on Monday, 25th June.
