KIHIKIHI NOTES
DENTAL CLINIC RALLY. A big. effort was made on Thursday to raise the major portion of Kihikihi’s quota (£4O) of the fund to build the new dental clinic rooms at Te Awamutu. Much energy was spent in order to present a varied programme of interest to all, with, of course, a bazaar to return the desired profit. The effort opened at 1 pan., when stalls foin sweets, cookery, fancy goods and vegetables presented a bright and busy appearance. Sales werve anany and fi-equent until, at 2 p.m., a halt whs called for an open air concert, when the pupils gave some interesting musical and elocutionary items. Miss Hansard, dental nurse, was present and spoke for some minuteis on dental matters ot interests to parents generally. She was accorded a vote of thanks for her kindness in attending. The. school was then thrown open for parehts to view the school work which was displayed for their benefit, g Later the stalls did good business, finally showing a profit of £l7. Kihikihi now has approximately £3O toward its quota and hopes to reach £4O by the end of the imonth. ’When the mothers get together things simply “ move ” —our thanks go out to them-—and they will soon have the lot!
