TE AWAMUTU LADIES' CLUB. Jdeal weather prevailed and the links were in perfect condition for the largely attended and happy function which took place yesterday afternoon when members were the guests of the captain (Mrs Oliphant). Scaled jiole competitions were played, after which a delightful afternoon tea was served. The winners of the competitions were: Sealed holes, Mrs D. Williams and Miss V. Holt; bagatelle, Mrs Shutte. After, the presentation of pr.'zcs, Mrs O'Sullivan, a past president, in a happy little speech, expressed thankh to the popular captain on behalf of members for a delightful afternoon, and called for cheers, winch which were heartily responded to, and a happy function wate brought to a close with the singing of " For She's a Jolly Good Fellow."
TE KAWA CLUB.
The Te Kawa Golf Club held a mixed foursomes match on Saturday, which was won by Mr and Mrs R. Mexted with a net score of 67. An enjovable match was played during the week-end with Otorohanga, when the home team won by 10 games to 4. Following are the details Otorohanga players being mentioned first: Hotson beat Sutton 1 up, Jackson lost to Mexted 6 and 5; Morley lost to Ashton 7 and 6, Irvine lost to Stockdale 5 and 4, Leigh lost to Walker S and 7, Ormsby lost to Smart 1 up, Scholtz lest to Coverdale S and 7. Miss Morley beat Mrs Mason, •> up Miss McKerras lost to Mrs Coverdal'e 4 up, Mrs Morley lost to Mrs Mexted 3 up. Miss Quinlan lost to Miss Skudder 4 and 3, Miss Osmond lost to Miss Boucher 1 up, Mrs Irvine be:* Mrs Hill 5 and 4, Miss R. Ham lost to Mrs Scholtz 4 and 2. Miss Taylor and Miss M. Ham, all square.
