THE AWAMUTU CLUB. The first round of the Gene Strong Cup will be played this evening-, when every lady member of the elub will be participating. The draw is as follows: Z. Noonan receive 2 v. B. Bowden owe 10; M. Farrell scr v. B. Fox receive 5; L. Cruicks'hank owe :t v. N. Turnwald receive 5; Mrs Clarke owe 1 v. V. D. Pearte receive 5; B. Chunn owe 10 v. E. Christie receive 5; E. Melville owe 1 v. M. Chillingworth receive 2; F. Bowden owe 1 v. B. Chilling-worth receive 5; E. Bowden receive 5 v. E. Clarke receive 2. A nuimber of visitors from Otorohanga will be entertained this evening, when local members not playing in the above competition will be matched against the visitors.
