BOWLING

TE CLUB’S TOURNAMENT. A VERY PLEASANT CONTEST. The weather conditions were decidedly’ favourable for the Te Awamutu Bowling' Club’s full rink tournament at the Victoria, Park greens on Labour Day, and a total of twenty teams competed, represenatives being present from most, of the neighbouring clubs, notwithstanding counter attractions on some of the other greens, and holiday attractions. The weather was cool and dull• when. play commenced shortly after 1 9 o’clock, but later the sun shone out; brightly, and the rest of the day was. decidedly pleasant. There was a good muster of onlookers, including miany ladies, and the wives of local players dispensed tasty refreshments, much to the appreciation of the payers J] .

iWfaen the final scores were made up it was found that S. W. McMillan (Te Awamutu) and Wilkinson (Cambridge) bach had five wins, but on the aggregate McMillan proved to be' the pinner,. and he and his team were warmly, cpngratblated. Three other t^ams—-Henderson (Te Awamutu), Wheeler: (Frankton), and J. Walker (Te; • Awamutu) —each gained four vans.; and;-one. loss. : following are the' results:—
