KING COUNTRY SALES
N.Z. Loan and Mercantile, Te Kuiti, report having held a very successful sale at Te Kuiti on Wednesday, when our entry comprised 387 head of cattle), the majority being bullocks, which met with a ready sale. At Te Anga sale on Friday another big yarding of cattle were penned, but in most cases prices did not approach owners reservations. We quote:—Best 4year S.H. and Hereford bullocks £3 17s 6d to £4 ss, others £2 10s to £3 10s, 3-year-old steers £2 10s to £2 16s, 2-year-old 35s to £2 Bs, yearling steers 25s to 265, run cows and calves' £1 to 265, best yearling Jersey heifers £2 15s to £3 10s, best dairy cows and heifers £3 10§ to £4 10s, wether hoggets (small) 7s Bd.
